Applicants may apply for one of the following award categories:
Green Steps
Applications for this award are open to SME/start-up companies who demonstrate the best sustainability initiatives of any type.
Blue Horizons
Applications for this award are open to medium to large-sized companies with the best Co2 Reduction / Clean Air / Clean Energy initiatives.
Golden Stars
Applications for this award are open to medium to large-sized companies with the best overall ESG / multifaceted sustainability initiatives.
Evaluation Criteria
To qualify, all applicants must meet one or more of the following 3 criteria:
Applicants must demonstrate that their sustainability initiative:
a) Is worked on by locally-based staff in South Korea
b) Has been developed by locally-based staff in South Korea
and/or
c) Has demonstrable local impact in South Korea
If qualified, applications will then be evaluated against a point system measuring performance across the following
5 areas:
Vision
Are there
clear goals and is there a clearly defined path through which to
achieve them?
Innovation
Investment
Have there been clear, quantifiable, efforts made in pursuit of this initiative?
Collaboration
To what degree are there multiple stakeholders involved and/or what parties external to the industry are involved?
Impact
How
locally driven is the initiative, how innovative is it in South Korea, and
how innovative
is it globally?
Has there been a
clear and
measurable impact?
How does this compare to the company size/age of the initiative/
investment made?
What are the
long-term prospects?
Awards & Prizes
Following the first round of evaluations, three finalists will be selected from each award category (9 finalists total).
1 winner from each category will then be selected in the final round to receive the grand prize and the remaining top applicants will each receive a runners-up prize.
Runner's-Up Prize (x6)
Runners-up will each receive:
- An ECCK Sustainability Awards Certificate of Recognition
Grand Prize (x3)
Winners will each receive:
- Two Complimentary Tickets to the Sustainability Awards
- A congratulatory bouquet
- And, an ECCK Sustainability Awards Trophy
All finalists will also benefit from promotion of their sustainability initiatives to the media and general public, and networking opportunities.
